He also completed an MPhil at RZS-CASIS, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, with a dissertation entitled Habib Abu Bakr’s Taḥawwulāt and Its Significance. Alongside his formal studies, he has studied a range of traditional Islamic disciplines, including theology, Shāfiʿī fiqh, ḥadīth and its sciences, uṣūl al-fiqh, Qurʾanic sciences, taṣawwuf, and Arabic.

He has studied Fiqh al-Taḥawwulāt since 2013, beginning with al-Ḥabīb Aḥmad bin ʿUmar al-Kāf, son-in-law of al-Ḥabīb Abū Bakr al-ʿAdanī, and later directly with al-Ḥabīb Abū Bakr during his visit to Singapore. Al-Ḥabīb Abū Bakr also granted him ijāzah to teach and translate his works.

About the Book

A wide-ranging and timely exploration of Fiqh al-Taḥawwulāt—the “Understanding of Transformations”—this book reframes the study of the End Times as a rigorous, text-grounded discipline that links revelation to the unfolding of history and contemporary upheaval. Drawing on the Qur’ān and Prophetic narrations, al-Ḥabīb Abū Bakr al-ʿAdanī ibn ʿAlī al-Mashhūr argues that knowledge of the Signs of the Hour is not a peripheral fascination, but an essential pillar for reading tribulations, political shifts, intellectual currents, and civilizational change with balance and clarity.

With careful methodology—warning against reckless speculation while insisting on responsible scholarship—this work equips readers to distinguish between tests and misguiding tribulations, between sound inheritance and ideological distortion, and between legitimate prophetic interpretation and modern polemical projection. Spanning minor, intermediate, and major signs, it offers a structured framework for believers, students, and researchers seeking to navigate today’s confusion through the light of the Prophetic text—anchored in sobriety, spiritual ethics, and fidelity to the sanad-based tradition.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/2514/8624/files/26-Post-Author_34ab46a1-6536-4b2f-9df7-0c28d261881e.jpg?v=1789469923
