About the Session
Why Do We Need Bookshops in an Age of Online Shopping, AI, and Digital Media?
In the wake of Singapore's inaugural Indie Bookshop Day (on 3 October 2026) and Jakal Bookshop Festival in August 2026, Indonesia's first bookshop festival in Yogyakarta, join in on a conversation between Tomi Wibisono, founder of Buku Akik, Yogyakarta, and Ibrahim Tahir, founder of Wardah Books, Singapore. Yulianna Frederika, founder of Lepak Conversations, will facilitate the conversation.
